01v96 Malfunction

The PEAK and SIGNAL indicators on my 01v96 (the red and green LEDs just below the input gain pots) have stopped working on channels 3-8. Channels 1, 2, and 9 through 16 work perfectly.

Any idea what might cause this? Could it be a loose ribbon cable inside? Seems to me that would make them all cut out, or make them all intermittent, or perhaps kill one side and not the other. And if they were set up in 'banks' I would have likely lose 1-6, or 5-8, or another group of numbers that can be divided into 16 evenly.

It's not affecting the operation of the console whatsoever. But it does bug me!

Thanks!

Re: 01v96 Malfunction

Judging by the numbers, I would surmise that 1-8 and 9-16 are ganged. (on 2 separate cards)
If they're in parallel and you have a bad joint in between channel 2 and 3 that would explain the failure.
