Camel traders is out for a couple weeks, and the local supply house has a minimum order of 500' on top of an exorbitant price. I'm looking for some extra cable this week, so something in the Baltimore metro area (MD/DC/VA/DE/PA) would be helpful.

Did you try electrical wholesalers off of west street in Annapolis. I have bought it by the foot there in the past and the price was not bad.

The reason I asked is because I wanted to help him avoid buying the wrong cord for his use. According to NEC 400.5(A) 10/5 SOOW is only rated for 20 amps, while 10/4 SOOW is rated for 25 amps and only 10/3 SOOW is actually rated for 30 amps.

Agreed, I have a friend who sits on the ESA board here in Ontario, who says 8 ga is going to be the new standard, it's also recommended by motion labs as well....
