A&H Qu-16 firmware 1.10 is out

Re: A&H Qu-16 firmware 1.10 is out

The PDF of the new features: http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/CategoryDocuments/Qu-16 firmware V1.10 New Features.pdf

It specifically states:
Remote Inputs - dSNAKE does not add channels to the Qu-16. The remote inputs map
one-to-one to Qu-16 channels 1-16 and ST1-3.
Use the channel Preamp screen Source page to
choose either Local (rear panel) or dSNK
(remote) as the input to the preamp for each
channel.
So I guess there will be no way to expand the channel count on the Qu-16 :( ..... other than purchasing a GLD.

How the heck can you find fault with a 16 channel board for only having 16 channels? You might as well complain about the sky not being yellow or your mother not having three breasts.

In the same price category as the Qu-16, there are 2 other rack-mount 16 channel mixers that can be extended to at least 32 channels with a stage box. It is simply a matter of features and price.

Still, to your point, there are going to be plenty of people who are quite sure that they will not ever want or need more than 16 channels who are going to like the Qu-16 just fine without the ability to expand to greater channel count (many bar bands I would think).

With this update, the Qu-16 is much more competitive than it was with other digital mixers in its class.

If you are using the GLD-AR2412 remote preamp, do the ST1, 2 & 3 use preamps 17 - 22? Does this kind of make the mixer into a 22 channel mixer, although limited by the channels being stereo? Also, can you assign effects to these channels?
