Anyone know any tricks on getting a Mini Mac to recognize a Samsung Galaxy S4? I've tried everything a Google search has to offer. I want to export pictures..

I used a program called Android File Transfer for Mac for a little while. It worked well enough with a Nexus 6. https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

Then I installed El Capitan on my MacBook Pro and that program no longer worked. Between that and a couple of other things, I went back to an iPhone. I never determined whether I needed to get the newer version of AFT.

Does Image Capture on the Mac not recognize it as a device? Usually I can get it to see some really random things (card reader, card slot on a network printer, etc.).

I cannot get it to open the phone. It see it, but won't open it. Unless there's another step..

Samsung requires their own drivers on the computer.

On android download wifi browswer. From there once you start the service you browse thru your phone from any browser on the local network..
