[QUOTE="Randy Gartner, post: 58676, member: 104"] Re: Anybody had a trailer built for to your specs? I have built 3 trailers over the past 20 years.Last year I built my newest one to replace the 8 x16ft trailer I had for the past 8 years. What I wanted I couldn't find.An enclosed deckover trailer ( wheels under floor).I bought the wheels, axle kits and brakes form Northern Tools.Since I can't weld anymore because I have a defibulator,I helped a friend build the frame, then mounted the axles and coupler.Built a wood frame covered with 1/4 luan and the used contact cement to glue sheet metal to sides, front and back.Used one piece balc rubber for roof.New trailer is 7 x 12 and holds the same amount of gear as my larger trailer because the wheel wells do not protrude into the floor space like the old one did.Picture shows new trailer in foreground with old trailer in background.
