[FS] Anyone want a TC M5000 for parts or to repair?

I have an M5000 that has a bad PSU. It used to take a few on/offs to get it to fire up and then once it was on it would be fine until it was powered down. Now I can't get it to fire up properly. I expect it could be fixed by anyone who's good with electronics and knows about power supplies, and it would kill me to just throw it away. Bottom line is, I'm not going to fix it, but maybe someone else would like to. Alternately, if you already have an M5000, you might want this one for parts.

It's free to a good home, the catch is that you'd come get it from one of our shows when we're in your neighbourhood.

Interested? PM me.

Just an update -
There's been a surprising amount of interest in this device.

FYI - last time I looked (many years ago) there were no available schematics of the product. TC Electronics will not fix it, nor will they give you ANY help with it whatsoever. I've talked to various service people at TC USA, and when I was in Denmark, I called head office spoke to people there, and it doesn't matter - they simply will not have anything to do with the M5000. A product this old, and they won't even sell schematics/service manual or give any advice or anything. Pretty piss-poor on TC's reputation, but don't get me started on another rant!

2 Electronic bench technicians and myself (who am also an electronics technician, albiet only as a hobby) have tried to figure out what's wrong with it and failed. We all agree though that the next step would be to replace the power supply as it's the most likely culprit.

So... If you're looking to get this thing going, you'll be on your own with nothing to guide you! I would be very happy though if someone were able to get it working again and could use it. It's an amazing sounding FX unit that was worth thousands when new.
