I just bought a new Ipad. Last summer a saw another soundguy using his Ipad with an analyser app. Now I'm wondering if there are some apps you guys are using during lifeperformance? I would like to hear some app-names and what you're using them for.

Re: Apps

I also downloaded an app called "AV tools" (I did the light version) . It has some built in calculators for various things but what I use it mostly for is the pin out function. It has diagrams for various connectors and whatnot which has helped me with soldering and repairing cables to make sure I am doing the pin outs correctly.

Other than that I use Studio Six's RTA.

I have been looking for a good metronome/click track app. If any of you have any recommendations for one please share it. :)

Re: Apps

tempo adv. is a great metronome.
it has set list and does about everything tempo.
when i play drums i have is set as my click. one button to the next song. each one is labled and in order.
one important note make sure that when using the metronome that you have your i-device set to not sleep.
Because when it does it skips a beat and can through things off.

Re: Apps

+1 for "AV Tools". "Pinout" is also OK. "Electrodroid" is packed with engineering calculators, converters, component color code charts, etc.

For RTA's, my favorite is "Speedy Spectrum Analyzer". It's an FFT display that can track and display multiple peak markers, and it really is fast. When the batteries in my Ivie die, it's the next best thing for ringing out wedges.

For a fairly in-depth look at local broadcast TV signals based on FCC license info and terrain + propagation modeling, "TV Antenna Helper FREE" is pretty tough to beat for quick info that helps with down & dirty RF coordinations.

"ConvertPad" is great for conversion between measurement systems. "OANDA Currency Converter" is indispensable when you're on a world tour. It automatically updates exchange rates daily.

BTW, I'm running these in Android OS. I don't know if the iOS versions are as good.
