Audio companies with structured intern programmes?

Hey all,

I have a friend who is going to be graduating with his doctoral degree in acoustics from Notre Dame in the near future and he reached out to me as he begins the job hunt.

My question to all of you: what speaker/microphone-producing companies are based in the midwest currently? EV came to mind first, though I wasn't sure if they were completely in Michigan. Shure is another one that came up.

EV came to mind first, though I wasn't sure if they were completely in Michigan.
FWIW and to my understanding:

EV is currently a subsidiary of Telex Communications.

And Telex Communications is currently a subsidiary of Bosch Security Systems.

And Bosch Security Systems is a subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH (aka as "Bosch").

And Bosch comprises >350 subsidiary companies with manufacturing facilities in possibly 60 countries.

I don’t know what my point is?
