Audio Technica M3 wireless IEM

Does anyone have any experience with these systems? The M3 has some pretty good features for a couple hundred cheaper than the Senns.

The feature I find the mot appealing is the artist is able to balance his mix; I can run their vocal mic into ChA and other instruments/sources into ChB. The let user balance his "more-me" request.

I know the Sennheiser ew300-G3 is the mot recommended, but $1000 (MAP) per system; it gets a little expensive for a "part time system".

Re: Audio Technica M3 wireless IEM

I have almost three years using 4 sets of M3's every weekend. They work VERY well. I did have some issues early on and found that using an antenna combiner (Senny AC2) with a Shure paddle fixed everything. Sound quality is good. My only issue has been needing a few replacement antennas. They are a little stiff and will eventually adapt any bends caused by prolonged flexing to the same position. In short, two of my guys liked them on their belts and that made the antennas develop an angled position that eventually weakened them until the broke. To their credit, AT supplied a couple of free replacements. Other than that, I love them. I would buy more without any hesitation. Battery life is great. Stock buds sucked as is generally the case with middle to low end gear. Upgraded to SCL4s and were very happy. I can't imagine needing more than this for a part timer like me.

Yes, I built mine before AT had one for sale. Actually found my AC2 on eBay for half what the AT cost. It won't power the M3s so I have to use the wall warts, but works fine other than that.
