Considering the time frame, likely AKG 451s on VR2 tubes.

I used an AT mic on a wand quite a bit this summer and my stage manager sent the link to me.
Event photographers loved it when any of the acts used "that little mic".
We had a lot of questions,"What is that mic?!".
The real secret to the good sound in that venue was actually the Danley boxes.

I'm with Mac the AKGs with the VR2s.

I also note NO MONITORS! Which made small diaphragm condensers an acceptable choice

The Three Tenors used the Schoeps equivalent of this microphone combination and they usually had a couple of Meyer wedges in front of them but I'll bet they didn't need Alx Rose levels out of them.

Looks like no PA either, unless its hidden well (-and hopefully with plenty of downfill to reach the street)

They used the AKG CK28 with the C30 extension. It was a common mic used on UK talkshows because of it's look.

CK28 seems likely, the C451 was introduced in 1969, but the CK28 had been around from 1955.

There was a PA. They had a Fender Solid State PA system consisting of a powered head and two column speakers. Here's the catalog photo:

CK28 seems likely, the C451 was introduced in 1969, but the CK28 had been around from 1955.

It's pretty much been established from all reports that it was the CK28 with the C30 extension and the W17 windscreen.
