Re: Behringer iNUKE NU6000 amplifier In March of this year, I purchased 2 of the NU6000 (non-DSP) amps that had just become available to drive some JBL SRX728 subs during the SXSW festival here in Austin, as my Itech 8000s that I usually use on subs were to be used elsewhere. I set the limiters on my Ashley crossover to prevent clipping the inputs of the amps. The amps were driven hard on sub duty for 2 days from noon 'til midnight and they were great! There was plenty of power for the 728s and they were still running cool at the end of the day. I have been using them on sub duty for about 6 months now with no problems. I sold my 2 IT8000s for nearly $4k and paid less than $400 for each NU6000. I haven't done any measurements, but I suspect the 3000 watt/channel number may be peak power. Still, they seemed to supply plenty of power. I'm looking forward to the four channel (NU4-6000) which should put out about 1500 watts/channel (peak?) into a 4 ohm load. Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag now! Mike Roam Sundown Pro Audio Austin, TX
