Hi, I have this mixer hooked up to my computer with Windows 7 and Audacity hooked up directly with the USB cable. I have been doing some tests. In my earphones my voice and every adjustment can be heard nice and clear. When I make a recording, I change the highs and lows and can hear them live. I've messed with some of the effects as well and they sound great live. Then when I play it back in audacity or export it as an MP3, my voice sounds a bit distant and NONE of the adjustments or effects are there at all. I can put the pitch effect to make myself sound like a chipmunk, and in the playback I sound regular. I can adjust the lows and highs and I hear it great live, but no changes in the recording there either. What would cause this? I don't see anything in the manual regarding this. Thanks a lot!

I'm not familiar with that product, but it appears from the manual that the USB feed to the computer is supposed to be the same as the "Main Mix" (manual page 11). Is this where you are listening with your headphones? Do you have any solo channels turned on that might be routing an effects send to the listen bus that the might be assigning to the USB output?

Hi TJ... I have my headphones hooked directly up to the mixer in the phones out plug. It says "Phons/Ctrl" near the top right. I don't believe I have any solo channels turned on that is routing to the listen bus. I've been playing with a lot of buttons and knobs while I do my tests to see if it makes a difference and I hear all the changes, but my computer receives none of them. The recordings always just play back my voice without any of the changes I'm making and doesn't sound exceptionally clear like it does in my headphones.
