I don't know how I got so lucky, but I am now in possession of my own personal mini-forklift. The best part is, I got it on ebay for.... $0.01! Aside from a miserable rainy 3 hour drive to DC to pick it up this morning, totally worth it. I know there is a lot of discussion around here on ramps and loading vehicles. Even after 5 minutes of playing around with this thing, it's totally worth it even if you pay a lot more than I did. My shop is pretty cramped, so a full size forklift is out of the question, but now I can add shelving and free up a lot of floor space. Just had to brag ;-)

One shop I work at has an electric one. They bought it used, cheaply because it had a bad wheel. A little bit of wrenching and it's back in action. Makes it soooo nice to stack big cabinets on a shelf! It's also really cool for flipping consoles on it and working at different heights. If you need to pull a bunch of strips you can drop it down and sit in an office chair while working on heavy stuff.

I can only imagine if it was from a company. The boss says, "we need to sell this!" and the employee is all over it. Posts it on eBay and tells the boss, "it's sold!". Boss, "awesome, for how much?"...


What an incredible deal dude.

Yeah, and there's probably at least one Management Supervisor that now says, F... Ebay, and others that are saying, I should've taken the lift home.

Congrats, I hope you'll use it and if not, pass it on to someone that will. (I believe in re-tasking items that we can't use anymore)

It was a guy helping his elderly neighbor clean out his basement. I gave the guy $40 anyway because I thought it would be rude to just take something so valuable. Also because I got stuck in bad traffic on the way down and he waited around for me. I just moved into my new shop in January, and I'm already starting to run out of room because everything is too heavy to stack or put on shelves by myself. Now I can store things more efficiently. This would also be really handy for smaller gigs I do in my pickup truck since I can take it along and use it to load and unload amp racks and subs at the venue.
