Hey everybody - Happy New Year!

I'm getting ready to install a new d&b audiotechnik rig in my room complete with the R1 package and the R70 CAT5/CAN interface. This will make it easy for me to set up a wireless control surface. R1 runs on Windows so I guess my question is: Does anyone have a favorite wireless touch tablet device they use for this kind of stuff? I don't have a huge room but it would be fun to walk around and listen to different parts of the room, tune monitor mixes, etc. I'm new to this so any good advice is welcome. I know I don't need a ton of processing power for this and FWIW I'm really good at fixing up and upgrading old machines. Thanks!

Cheers, Rob

I like to use 2 pcs Lenovo x41 or x61, with a remote vnc. Because its a real computer, not hampered in performance by being a tablet, also IMO its very important that the "tablet" can be a backup of the main computer and vice versa. Makes it easier for a company that buys 20 pcs that they are all the same. But the are getting oldish, I'm sure there are new models on or on there way on the market. As you say you can get by with something cheaper or a dedicated tablet. Look on some of the threads about LAKE tablet control there are some really nice links and info in those, also about routers etc.
