Boy has not the X32 thread made some record yet?

Re: Boy has not the X32 thread made some record yet?

It's gotten to the point where maybe the X32 deserves its own forum so that threads on specific topics can be created. It's at the point now where there is so much chatter in so many directions, it's not worth the time reading.

Ya think.... :-) I don't know if it is getting worse or we're just losing interest. Recall that the x32 thread was started precisely to reduce noise in the "ask Uli" thread..

I hope it has been good for Bennet's membership stats and eyeballs for advertising, while the group dynamic does seem a little different than before.

Uli has posted personally on several large websites, to promote this one product roll out. He did well.

+1

i'm still reading it since i'm taking delivery of two of these beasts this week. but when i'm wading through 'how do i get a compressor on more than one input' kind of questions to glean knowledge that is useful to me, it feels like we need a separate X32 forum with it's own varsity, JV and basement areas...

of course it's really not the job of the fine people who run this forum to provide a dedicated forum to a specific product or manufacturer. hopefully someone will step forward to fill this need sometime soon...

Re: Boy has not the X32 thread made some record yet?

It is by far the most viewed and participated in thread on the whole forum, and perhaps on any forum of this type! A total monster, the main problem being I don't really read it any more since it is so long and ever changing. Hopefully if anything goes wrong in there someone will report it.

There will not be an X32 forum coming, although if anyone else wants to start one I'd be happy to link to it with a sticky at the top of that thread.

You should at least close it soon and start a new one. Once threads become more than a few pages they're not useful to people that aren't following them every day. Someone could also start a Behringer "Group" on this forum. Which may be what you were thinking, Bennett?

Re: Boy has not the X32 thread made some record yet?

I could close it, but then it will probably die. It is useful to the people who are generally interested in that console, and in a month that thread will be history and there will be new little ones to deal with specific interests anyway. My feeling is to leave it alone.

Re: Boy has not the X32 thread made some record yet?

I may be in the minority, but please do not close it. First off I would like to thank Bennett for allowing Uli to speak freely here, and second, a big thanks to Rob Spence for starting the X32 thread. Because of it I took the plunge and have no regrets or buyers remorse. I have done 5 shows with this desk and it has been making me money so far, it will be paid off after 4 more shows. Because of Rob's thread we got to know Christian Boche and others. I for one am very appreciative for that.
