Although everyone from The Doors to Lenny Kravitz has famously claimed in their songs that “rock is dead,” you’d have a hard time convincing the sold-out crowds that attended any of the recent Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) music festivals.
From September through November, DWP staged four major multi-day productions: Mansfield, Ohio’s Inkcarceration—held outside The Shawshank Redemption’s Ohio State Reformatory— Louder Than Life at Louisville’s Highland Festival Grounds, Aftershock in Sacramento’s Discovery Park, and Daytona International Speedway’s Welcome To Rockville, all of which were sonically reinforced via Denver-based Brown Note Productions’ (BNP) massive L-Acoustics K Series loudspeaker systems.
