Cabinet re-furb fun

So I've hit my slow season, so I thought I'd pretty up my cabs... it took me a good 8 hours to rip them down. I took all the hardware pieces to a local powder coating place for sand blast, and powder. I took the cabs home, and wood filled, and light sanding and re-duratex coating. I think they turned out pretty good... I sanded down and grills and re-painted using a hand roller, because the foam that is glued on them is in great shape, and I didnt' want to have to replace the foam too. You can see some of the rust "hue" when you look sideways at the cabs, but that's minor... Also during the re-assembly process I ran pink through each of the boxes to make sure everything was fine. I set up an rta, and traced a line on the screen, if all cabs matched the trace - move on... It appears I've lost only one HF driver in the last 5 years of ownership, which isn't bad. I'm not sure if it's a crossover component yet, cause one driver works when I metered it. Does anyone know if one is dead, if the other will still function?. Anyway next up 8 subs...ughhhh - BTW -if anyone is interested I might be willing to part with this rig and move on to something else, so come and git it while it's pretty. (There are 8 SB1000Z's that would go with the 12 KF730 tops, UX processor etc...) PM or email [email protected]

Since you have only lost one driver in five years, the other could be OK, just check it out with a sweep generator, clean the gap if needed, and replace the defective diaphragm (after cleaning).
Look for any burnt resistors or coils, bad capacitors, and compare to the others to see if there are any unseen crossover issues.

System looks good!
