Case building - where to get the aluminum nameplates

Re: Case building - where to get the aluminum nameplates

There are a couple ways to go with this. You can either get screen printed plates, or laser engraved plates. For short runs, the costs probably will be fairly similar. Laser engraved plates have the advantage of no paint to chip off over time.

Chances are, there is a gift shop in your town that can do laser engraving. You can pull plates off of old cases, flip them over, and get them engraved for just a couple bucks. Or, you can get your own for around a grand. They're fun.

There's a company called McClone (I think?) that made the heavy thick plastic ones that come on the R&R cases. They have the case company logo printed as well as it's laid out so that you can write on it with temporary marker for convention purposes. They are probably 1/16" inch thick and glued with some sort of super epoxy. When I have to ship the gear I have them put the shipping labels on this 6x8" label.

I inquired about having some custom ones made but you needed to order 100 or so as a min.
