I'm looking for some foam sheets for a case project. I need some of the harder (etha?) and some softer (ester?) sheets. I also need some 1/8" thick neoprene, though that comes up on Amazon.

Penn Elcom lists a bunch of foam options on their website but searching by product number does not yield any shopping results.

Can someone recommend a place that stocks this stuff and will ship fairly quickly? I really want to have it by the end of the week. It doesn't need to be Penn Elcom.

See if there's a case builder in your neighborhood. My local guy is always fine with selling me parts and foam for very reasonable prices, and I save on shipping and don't have to meet minimum order requirements.

Hi Jason,
The good guys at ATS Case in Northboro would get you into any foam that you might need. They'd cut it for you to whatever size you'd like, too.

Come see the case they made for my QL1. Turned out quite nice. Do you need a case for yours? Want to take mine for your tour, and I'll order another?

Re: Case Foam source

Jason, foam tends to be a local-ish product. I'd suggest a Yellow Pages search. The foam we buy comes from a facility about 3 miles from our shop; they make it there and we order by the board-foot. The factory will slice the "bun" into whatever thicknesses we want for an up charge. The price goes way down if we'd buy the whole bun (so they have no waste).

I tried to order some from one of the "top of google" advertised sites, but never went through with it.

They couldn't tell me what type of foam they were going to pack the product in for shipping.
