I need a cheap tablet with wifi capable of connecting to a network and running a VNC client so I can connect it to a MAC and see the desktop. That's it. Is there something usable or should I just look for a used Samsung Galaxy/Ipad/HTC Flyer?
Right now I do this on my HTC Desire S, works flawlessy apart from the small screen...
Hahaha, I've had numerous companies from China offer me Android tablets for like $50. They look fine from the specs, but the minimum order quantity is 100 units
It's a full laptop with a flip screen. Pen stylus or touchscreen. Runs win7 and, apparently OSX too. I get about 4 hours out of an extended battery when fully charged.
I also happen to be using it to remote desktop to a mac mini running studio manager....
(edit) Forgot to say, you can get these for 300-400 USD all day long on ebay.
I have a Lenovo thinkpad X200 tablet that could do this, it's just a little overkill for the intended application
It's also rather large, right now my phone is mounted just above the snapshot buttons on a VI1 so i can see the screen on the MAC when I run a cue without looking sideways. I control the mac by a bluetooth keyboard, and Qlab triggers snapshot recalls in the board by midi.
