I have been blessed (?) with having been called by my initials literally since birth. Tom Cornish is my grandfather, my real name is TJ Cornish. I'm happy to abide by whatever rules are set for the forum, but would like to ask permission for my ''real name'' to be TJ Cornish instead of my current TJ (Tom) Cornish, if it's all the same to all-y'all.

PSW policy flipflopped over the years - initials were OK for a while, then not. What's the official position here?

Thanks for clarifying.

Re: Clarification on ''Full'' real name?

TJ,

I'll let you get away with it. The ''full name'' really just means first and last, and not that nickname that only people online call you by. If you would have to explain to a friend that your name is actually Tom, TJ is fine.

Thank you. The only person in my life who has ever called me Tom was my grade school bus driver. In the interest of creating responsiblilty for what gets posted, this will have greater effect in my case.
