I was wondering if anyone has hands on experience with the MX10's.

M-CLASS

I am basically looking above the level of yamaha clubs, but below SRX712. They would be replacing EV FM112's. My first inclination would be the EV Tx series, as I tend to like the horn above the LF for monitors rather than besides. I was also loooking at the community MX41E when I noticed the MX10.

These look like they would be little beasts, and the only thing they seem to give up to the MX41e is some LF extension. They require very reasonable amount of amp power, and seem to be a great price point. I tend to like Community products anyways, so there may be some pre-bias slipping in here.

So I would like any real world experience anyone has to share.

We've put them in many church installs, with a little EQ they are great. They naturally aren't going to have a lot of low frequency (coax) or get crazy loud (low price point), but the are small, priced right, and sound quite good. They aren't going to be on any riders.

Jay I spec'ed them for a five piece band I mix for. They are amazingly lightweight and need very little EQ. Not sure of the exact application you intend them for, but these tiny guys do wonders for vocals and keys. Limit bass guitar and kick drum. Great mon for the money in the right application - look elsewhere for metal or heavy rock as they won't keep up with that stage vol,

The mx41e use to be the XLT41 and they are a pretty good monitor and get pretty loud and built very well. They are a step up from the yamaha clubs, but not a drastic step up. The MX10s are good for lower volume situations.

Both use psd2002 hf, so not a step up at all really. A better built box does not make the hf louder.

And the passive crossover components cannot be bypassed in biamp mode.
