While googling for "truss socks" I ran across this pic. Does anyone know how they cantilevered the truss "spikes" out that far?

From the pictures it looks like there are spansets around the ends and chains to the ceiling.

Hah! Well I feel stupid. I see them now that you pointed it out. Totally missed it before.
Just goes to show that the "magic" of the theatre still works even after all these years!
