Yeah, Eric Johnson was the implication i was getting as well...

those look rode HARD and put away wet many a time. i have no doubt that they sound nothing like new 57's. but sound better? ummm. i doubt it.

and yeah, there is NO way to confirm his name dropping without hearing from the artist himself. even then who knows....

still, some nucklehead will buy these.
