Some days I feel like the term 'customer service' has turned into 'customer disservice'. However, two companies lately have gone above and beyond and I feel a public 'thank you' is in order.
First - APB Dynasonics. I picked up a used H1020 from a LAB member, and although the console was in good shape, I wanted to have it gone through and issued a clean bill of health for my own piece of mind. I called APB and ended up talking to Taz. He arranged for me to drop it off last Wednesday since I was already going to be in the area. And, just 4 business days later it was back on my doorstep - no questions, no problems, just great service.
Second - Don C. of Stage Sound in Roanoke, VA. This was a case of me needing to special order a particular product, something fairly low cost in the grand scheme of things. I had been working with another vendor (or so I thought) and then all of a sudden, no response. After 2 days of nothing, my timeline had now become urgent. I went back to the mfg's website to find another dealer, who ended up being Stage Sound. Within about an hour of my initial call, Don had the special order re-quoted, artwork confirmed by manufacturer, ordered, paid and it's supposed to ship out within 2 business days. And, he even followed up a little while later to confirm whether or not there were one or two extra parts that I'd need, which apparently I had overlooked.
So to both companies, kudos for going the extra mile.
