Hi!

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct section. Also, I have searched this topic but didn't seem to find a suitable answer.

I would like to know if it is possible to create a custom preset (with access to all the parameters) for an iTech HD amplifier. For example, I would like to drive a JBL CBT70 column speaker with an iTech ampflier, and would like to create a custom X-over point to add a sub-woofer or just for general tweaking.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :D~:-D~

Kieran-
You will want to download Audio Architect from the Hiqnet web site. This will allow you access to all the parameters of the amplifier. You can network the computer to the amplifier and control it in real time, or if you have all the parameters that you want you can build your setting off line. If you are off line you can Save as Preset onto a USB drive and load directly onto the amp from the USB drive. If you are on line you can save directly onto the amplifiers memory as a preset.

Hi Raul

Thanks for you input. I forgot to mention that I have tried using Audio Architect to do so but for some reason the X-Over, Delay, and something else was locked out. All i could do was select "Low"; "Mid" or "High".. but it wouldn't allow me to change anything else.

Obviously I could be missing something as it was the first time I opened Audio Architect haha

Thanks!

Re: Crown iTech HD custom presets

It sounds like you are using a supplied preset for the CBT70? I was not aware of a factory preset for those. The factory presets are all locked as you have found. You can recall the first program which will be "DEFAULT" and is unlocked, allowing you to build your own preset. Alternatively, if you do have a factory preset for the CBT70, you can go to the input eq which will be unlocked and create a crossover in that section of the amp. The input eq section has 2 areas with 8 filters ea. By selecting the filter type as "HP Butterworth 6 db/oct" you can create a x-over in the input eq section. You can also stack these (use multiple instances) to create a higher order x-over. A 12db/oct LR crossover is 2 Butterworth filters stacked.

So.. turns out the problem was me and it's all sorted now. I wasn't aware that Audio Architect was a completly different application. Once I downloaded and installed that, all was understood! Haha!

Oh and no I wasn't using a CBT preset, I tried to edit the default one.

Thanks!
