cued stereo mix on ls9 is mono

I've noticed that if I cue my stereo mixes on the LS9 via the headphones, that my mix is mono.
is there a workaround without having to resort to an external headphone amp?

if I go to my wedges, my mix and my cue is stereo... it's only on the headphones that my mix isn't stereo, which is annoying when I want to mix stereo ears...

Have you tried another set of headphones or another 1/4" to 1/8" adapter if you're using one of those?

I'll double check this weekend, but I think that the headphone jack is stereo.

I'm using Audio-Technica ATH-M40fs head phones.

i've had the problem with my phone's ear buds and my normal in ears... I'll have another ls9 tomorrow, and try to play around again with it... It's a corporate gig, so plenty of time to play around after rehearsals...

i've found the culprit. it was indeed my headphone's 1/8" to 1/4" adapter that was a little crooked and didn't connect properly on the inside of the desk. it also shorted inside giving me signal on both ears which added to the confusion.
