"Dangerous" mic

Passing through security at Sydney airport today, my carry-on was hand searched. A dangerous item had appeared on the scanner - my Audix TM1 measurement mic.

No problem in the end but I might pack it with checked luggage next time!

I have my bags searched everytime I leave my Josephson C550H inside. After a couple I times it too made the move to the checked baggage.

I've traveled with enough things that look odd on the scanners that I typically leave enough extra time to allow for a hand inspection. Also, it can help to pack things neatly, so that when your bag DOES get searched, it's a straightforward matter to repack it. Sometimes checking the items isn't a viable option.
