Re: Danley demo on 11/13 in Atlanta
The plan is to use a single TH812 per side. We will have 2 more (and amps) there just in case. If during soundcheck we need them we will bring them in. But space is limited for extra PA in the venue (having to stack on the ground in front of existing system-which can't be moved). We could add a TH812 to house left with no problem-but house right might be a bit of an issue-as there is a walkway that can't be blocked-so we would have to angle it to the other one-no issue sonically (in fact a good thing for directivity).
As far as output-if we to run the J3 at full level (which we will not even be close), I would like to have 4 TH812's to keep up with it. My suspicion is that the J3 will be running around -15dB-with peaks around -10dB. We will see.
As far as coverage- the cabinets will be on the outsides and facing inward-so the coverage will be pretty wide. The SM80's will be doing front fill duty. The room is deeper than wide.
Power is all Lab Gruppen with just under 50,000 watts (not counting the extra power for the other 812's if needed). We would use another 20K (for the pair) if we need to bring them in.
We may also bring a couple of the new SM80 Monitors-if any of the openers want to try them out.
Should be fun
