One of my neighbors grew up in Philly and lived close to the studio where Bandstand was broadcast from before it moved to the wets coast. He was one of the dancers on the show for a few years. Dick Clark was an icon and I liked watching bandsatnd when it broadcast after school in the late 50's and early 60's. It was great listening to the new releases.
