Standard sized, 6 foot rope light from Home Depot fits right in the mouse tray slot on an Avid Profile console. You know when you're on a dark stage and you pull the keyboard out and you can't see the keys? Well, problem solved.

I always wondered why there's not a back lit keyboard- the original deciding factor of which Powerbook to buy back in the day.

I have a usb powered back lit keyboard attached to my SC48. No issues.

Those look handy for other FOH lighting needs. Maybe I wouldn't end up needing my miner's headlamp quite as often.
