A couple questions regarding settings for the DR 260 and 4800:
I am transferring tuning's from the dbx 4800 to my Crown ITech for the SRX 715. These are bi amp settings for the 715/728.
4800 processing:
Delay on the mids .21ms
polarity inverse on the highs
gain 0db lows
gain -1.7db mids
gain -16db highs
260 processing:
Delay on the highs .21ms
no polarity inverse on highs
gain -2.4db lows
gain 0db mids
gain -12db on highs
The difference in polarity and delay settings between the processors has me confused.
I ran the 4800 settings on my last show and was clipping my inputs. I had to adjust the high gain to -10db to match up better with the mid/lows. When I run the tops passive with subs I don't have this issue. My input and outputs are matched nicely and never clip. When run in passive mode my subs and tops are set flat at the bandpass.
