There are so many DIY projects, relating to speakers, and its kind of inspiring. I have tried making my own speakers, and they came out quite decent. Though, they were many of stereofoam, their sound quality was decent. Then I tied my hand at wooden moulding, and casing of speakers.

My latest project is trying to make my own iPod speakers. I know its a little ambitious, but, I wanna try something a little smaller, in terms of technicalities, and then, possibly graduate to making speakers, on the cheap.

Where do you think, is the best pace, to pick up components for picking up speaker parts, and all components necessary, for making speakers, and docking ports.

Thanks in advance. Will post my pics and videos, as the project comes along.

Hi sanveer,

Welcome to SFN.

Short answer to get you started.... try partsexpress.com
They carry a pretty broad range of products for those purposes.
What sort of size/output are you hoping for?
