I work at a large commercial/residential development and am trying to get the fountain to switch light shows. Right now the DMX Splitter does not show that it is receiving signal. There are two LEDs on the DMX Split, Red for power (ON), Yellow for signal (NOPE!).

When I opened the box the only Cat-5 cable connected was Orange to DMX +, So I stripped and connected White/Orange to DMX - Still no dice.
Tried a new Cat-5 - Still no dice.

Third picture shows the lighting controls conduit has water dripping through it, was wondering if this could have caused something to short out. And is it most likely that water is coming in from the fountain -ie something is not fully caulked?

Iplayer3 connects to my PC - however I am having trouble writing the triggers on to it.

The fountain is from Georgia Fountain Company... I don't have the full specs book with me, but can pick it up if more precise info is needed.

HEERRRRLP! I've been at this for a week and have gone from knowing nothing about Iplayer-DMX to being overwhelmed with the nonsense!

I may be back here in a few days, I have to set up two christie projectors for a paintscaping show! Should be fun!

I don’t see any DMX wire anywhere but you seem to indicate that you are using cat5 cable for that. In you pictures I also don’t see any input cable for the DMX.

On the top of the terminal block you have the DMX + and – on the blue and yellow wires that look like they go to the splitter and are the DMX input to the splitter. But there is no input to that on the bottom of the terminal block.

What is the source of the DMX and where does it come from? Look at how that is wired and then tone it out to find it at this splitter end. And follow the color code from the source and wire it the same way to the DMX in on the bottom of the terminal strip. Just randomly connecting wires without properly tracing them will only frustrate you and everyone else.

That connection box in the last pic looks horrible. If your employer has the funds just have the original installer come back and clean things up and get it going.
