We are in process of soundproofing our church drum hut. It is basically an expanded version of a plexiglass drum shield. It is totally enclosed with a roof except for a small opening (no door yet). We would like to install a door of some sort. But we are very short on space. Anyone have experience with a solid-core accordion folding door? Would it be a waste of time? See the link below.

If the room itself is largely built of plexiglass then you won't need much of a door to match its sound reduction. Is this the case?
Not sure what you mean by human factors Tim. The other reason we'd like to install a door is to protect the mics I'm going to add from the kiddos.
Yes! You went to a lot of work to a keep an acoustic drum kit "in the mix" when 97% of the people in congregation would not notice the difference between an acoustic kit and an E Drum kit sound. Think if you need to re arrange the stage for a special event.
Simplest door that would be a sound barrier would be a fire door, or as the booth seems to be double glazed panels in a frame, add a PVC double glazed door. That would match the acoustic performance of the booth. Hinging out would seem to be necessary. The killer will be that it will get hot and smelly without aircon, and aircon costs and is noisy.
Another option would be to find a drummer who can play with subtlety, rather than putting the loud one in a Perspex prison! 
I think I knew one once, but I'm old and memory may well be mistaken.

If it must be contained within a booth in order to be acceptable, I'd submit that "the noise ain't joyful" and the human factor be counseled accordingly.
