e935 and/or e945 for male & female singers on IEMs?

Last year I put up the question which for a female singing drummer… this year I am moving to front line vocalist and replacing my ULX-P and SLX wireless systems with Beta58a & SM58 capsules with some Sennheiser ew500 systems.

The band is a 10 piece wedding/corporate party band and plays anything from Easy Jazz to Today’s Top 40. There are 4 vocalists who are on IEMs; 2 male and 2 female. There are 4-6 wedges on stage for the other members. Stage volume is pretty tame; drummer is a soft hitter or sits behind a shield.

I have ran the band on Sennheiser 2000 with e935 and I had very favorable results (house wireless).

So now debate: e935 and/or e945 for male & female singers on IEMs?

Since you are going wireless, I would look first at handheld vs. stand, and the mic technique of the vocalist.

On the stand, or good handheld technique, I would go for the tighter pattern/smoother sound of the 945.
