Earplug Recommendations?

I remember posting a thread about this a while ago, but can't seem find it. Can anybody recommend some good earplugs that don't make HF's seem so muffled like the generic foam ones? I'm still pretty young and would like to really use something that will protect my ears when I'm doing sound. In addition, I enjoy going to concerts as well, so I'd use them there also.

Thanks Guys

Re: Earplug Recommendations?

Etymotic Research Musician's Plugs, Model ER20 I think. Two pair a year keeps them from needing wax removal overhaul. Pair in my car, bookbag, pelican, etc. I'm 6'3" but the "small" size fits me best. I can actually locate sources better in a loud show with them than without. I buy from Earplug Superstore. Google finds them. $12 a pair if I remember correctly.

I also buy some 60 cent silicon deals from them that get me through hip-hop shows but also serve as my "give away" plugs for friends that complain about fit/function of those foam things. "Radians Resistors 27" I think.

Ben,

  1. Go to Hearnet and find an audiologist
  2. Have impressions made
  3. Send those to Sensaphonics
  4. Get these molds with the ER15 and ER25 filters

They are a "buy once, cry once" product. My pair is going on a decade of heavy use.
