Edit:
Well, I thought this was just a funny eBay thing. I am now realizing that this is an educational product marketed at teachers and schools. After the Steven Colbert Donorschoose.org,

mass donation last month, I started looking into what teachers in my area were asking for. Every year, I try and find a local cause or charity. My mother was a teacher, and I have pretty strong feelings and opinions about education. To me, this seemed like it might be a nice place to make a charitable donation, which would do some real good, in my local community.
I was appalled at what I found! I spent hours going through each individual request for all of Washington. If you set aside all the requests for iPads, Chromebooks, and other computer hardware, the vast majority were for items from these "Education" companies such as Lake Shore Learning Systems, Vernier, and their ilk. These companies prey on public schools, offering teachers "Special" discounted (inflated) pricing on the junk they peddle. I would highly recommend checking it out for your self, if you would like to feel sick and depressed.
You can pass your own judgement on Califone.
