Fake Martin Atomic 3000 Strobe!

Hey Guys! Wanted to post this to help someone in case they come across a fake like I did.

I bought this from a guy on craigslist who said it was a genuine Martin Atomic 3000 Strobe. I was a bit skeptic when I saw no Martin Logo on the front. He said he purchased this from ebay. I have since asked for a refund but I wanted to post pics just so no one else makes the same mistake!

Looks like a Chinese Import to me... I did a search on one the import sites for "Atomic Strobe" and found this: http://sunstargroup.en.made-in-china.com/product/TMXJDnhHCsWy/China-3000W-Strobe-ST-1074-.html I am sure there is more out there.


Does it function like an Atomic 3000?

What strikes me the most is the size of the lamp! A real Martin atomic 3000 has a much longer lamp, isis still 3k?

Pretty good fake otherwise....

Was it cheap enough and does it work as intended? If so, I would make some money with it and hope it lasts long enough for a good ROI. You can always get the Martin later and use that one for a spare or B rig. Just my .02
