Re: Festivals

I dont really have any great stories as most the festivals I am a part of are community oriented. One of the guys on here has a great story about a truck cutting loose and rolling into a stack of speakers. Ooof!

Re: Festivals

I worked a major three day country music festival for six years and every night after the 10's of thousands of people left the field
just like the picture above there was ALWAYS one guy left passed out on the ground among the thousands of empty beer cans. By the next morning both the cans and the guy were always gone.

I had a car run down a hill (without a driver) and crash into a leg of the scaffolding that the speakers were setup on.

It all came crashing down. LUCKILY-AMAZINGLY nobody was injured in any way-yet there were about 5000 people there. Somehow the car managed to miss EVERYBODY.

Re: Festivals

At one heavy metal festival (back in the 80s) during a hot summer day, a girl jumped up on stage and yanked down the gym shorts of the guitar player who was playing a solo and proceed to "take care of him" in front of everybody--------

We did not know whether to listen to the solo or-------

On the worse side of things, I have been tear gassed a couple of times, had automatic weapons fire in the crowd, had a killing, been arrested, had gear stolen, been sued for assault and battery, had musicians jump off the stage and threaten to beat up the sound guy due to monitor level, had entire systems blown up due to bad power and so forth and so on.

And then there have been many GREAT festivals.

No all of those were NOT at the same festival.

Re: Festivals

If when you say, "I'll be out back tapping a virgin", you mean you found a port-a-potty that nobody has used yet....you maybe doing too many festivals.
