for 20 points

There are at least 3 different song melodies within this clip for an actual total of 60 points!!!

It's a rare clip with an ever so brief and elusive smile :)~:-)~ from yours truly - happy holidays!

weenie tech stuff - no monitors just a powered Mackie breadbox head with 2 4x10 columns - kick is coming through a single powered 15 sub along with a touch of each tom - drums are only in the sub thingy via monitor send

Re: for 20 points

Hi,
I believe it starts with George Harrison's "Within You and Without You", but you're out of points.

Happy New Year,

Curt Sorensen

DANG! I always wondered what Beatle tune I stole that lick from. We'll have to borrow some extra points for you on that one! Have you heard some of those swami sounding tunes that Derek is doing now? Awesome stuff.

Re: for 20 points

Thank you Silas and Drew for that vote of confidence regarding my choice of drummers. He's wound up pretty tight in more ways than one and often drives me crazy on and off stage but he's simply amazing at times. Latin grooves and funk are his forte and I've jokingly dubbed him the disco duck because he knows every dance song ever done. We often get ourselves into trouble with little places because we tend to get out of hand and over play the room. Regarding his time - I lock better with his internal clock than most anyone else I've ever played with and if you're sensing an urgency it's because the bass player is brand new with only a couple of gigs under his belt so he's a little pensive at times.

Happy New Year everyone - may it be fun and profitable for all.

Funny that, if anything I'd say the drums and bass are locked in pretty well, with the guitars laying back a little for feel. Of course, as I play a little bass and drums, that might just be my biased perspective coming through ;-)

Happy New Year all,

David.
