Free offline editors and software

Between my small sound company and my new install job, I find myself on new products literally every day. I have an older Macbook pro that I have up and running (SSD, Fresh OS install and more ram) and I intend to use this SOLELY for audio work. Not recording but plugging into DSPs, Amps, Digital Consoles. Many times walking into other peoples gear I find that it would just be much quicker to plug in and see what is actually going on. This will also be paired with a pair of wireless routers and later an Ipad for wireless control options.

What I am looking for is ANY product that has a free software for either and offline editor. I have several downloaded already but I figure that the fine folks here would probably come up with endless resources of computer programs to have available. Think anything form Church, School and Club installs, trouble shooting and walk in tech to a small-medium production company needs. About every other month I end up on much higher "Varsity" or A level gear as well.

Some that I already have:
Midas Pro2 Offline Editer
Yamaha CL Editor
Yamaha Studio Manager + Most consoles
Behringer X32 Edit
Presonus Universal Control

What others do you recommend? The only limitation is is that its a Mac, Intel based running snow leopard. I will hopefully have parallels running soon.

Thanks Shane, Unless I am missing something, most of those only work on windows?

Yes. Because outside the artsy types of sound applications, the mudane were written for the ubiquitous world of Windows.. Use Parallels or another VM and run windows when you have to.
