Re: Fun with eBay! Some people just don't like UPS.. customer is right yadda yadda I live across the street from the local post office, and watch them drive past my house, as they deliver mail to just about everybody else in town but me and a few neighbors who they make pay for PO boxes (what's that about?)... I also see UPS and other delivery companies make frequent to daily drops at the local post office, for mail parcels that were apparently sub-contracted to them. Ocassionally I even see the UPS truck drop off packages for delivery to my PO box, but since I only check my POB in the morning, i don't get my delivery until the next day. So apparently UPS does deliver packages to the local post offices that they then place in PO Boxes but UPS is restricted against accepting delivery to POB as an obvious case of government endorsed restraint of trade. Despite these monopolies the post office is sucking wind and getting worse. They probably have legacy costs associated with previous labor deals that will be harder to manage than most buggy whip industries. I predict some ugly years ahead for them and small town customers. They are already talking about closing a lot of POs, Maybe I'll actually start getting home mail delivery if they close my local PO. :-) JR
