So this last Friday night our band pulls up to the gig, a little chili festival in a neighboring small town. I see a nice Milo/Meyer system set up and think to myself "sweet", since we were expecting to set up our own PA. I exit the vehicle and say to the event coordinator "nice rig, are we running thru that?" THE RESPONSE: "No, that's for the announcer and break music"

So..... Here is our little LA stack with a k12 center fill, set up next to the "announcer's" PA. LOL

Maybe you could get the announcer to leave his mic open during the music...

Never leave the guitar player in charge of negotiating, LOL :-D

For 200 people I think ours could have handled the announcing/break music duties.

Still makes me laugh thinking about it.
