Grampa's been busy! No sleep until Monday ;-(

Re: Grampa's been busy! No sleep until Monday ;-(

I've pulled two all-nighters this week, had a show last night, and have 4 more ahead of me this weekend. And it's been like this for 2 months now. Where's that recession every bodies talking about?!?

+1 Did a festival a few weekends back, nothing scarier than driving a cube truck through downtown traffic after being awake for 28 hours.

Actually the economy is expanding slightly (1-2%) so technically not in recession. The CBO is projecting recession for 1st qtr 2013 if the fiscal cliff is not resolved before then. Even resolving it post election may not avoid some more economic contraction.

Individual business results for a small local business can certainly be anecdotal and quite variable.

I suspect you are outperforming the soft economy because you are not soft.

Glad I'm not the only one busy :-)

Yesterday was, as you would expect, a bit smoother we actually had electricity all day but the actual house and work lights aren't yet in. Lots of working with the MagLite in the teeth while setting up.

The "house" band neglected to tell anyone on the production crew that they were going to do THIS

The parade ended at the new venue and, instead of an empty room when I arrived to tweak some stuff on the console I found a room FULL of people who had followed the band into the place to "check it out". Couldn't exactly do much system tuning until they left.

The adventure continues. Hope you all have a safe, busy and profitable weekend.
