Not as funny, but up the same alley.
A guy I play basketball with is in his 70's, a still working anesthesiologist, amateur photographer, and does the occasional good will Dr's without borders trip to Africa.
About ten years ago he was telling me about a case where he was the anesthesiologist, on a leg amputation for a diabetes patient.
The Dr. mistakenly removed the wrong leg. So, they couldn't stop there, they still had to remove the bad one next.
Of course the patient sued for malpractice, but in a surprise move the judge dismissed the case.
Said he didn't have a leg to stand on.
