Hey guys, New year, and I figured a new thread. Finished up the "improved" model of my single 18" subwoofers this past week: These feature a slightly larger port, a few changes on the internal bracing, and handles rotated 90 degrees for easier handling. The results were pretty impressive. The HP model features a -3 point of about 30hz, and some added output in the 50-60hz range. A nice little improvement over the old models: HS118: And, the HS118HP: A block of 4 sounds good, and a block of 6 sounds even better! Of course, proper power & processing is always very important! :) Not a lot going on in the DSP world for the subs though... High pass at 30hz, low pass at 85hz. A little cut at 76hz is all that is required for EQ. The rest is in the box design! I'm up to 14 of these cabs now, and I plan to keep building more! They are impressive little boxes, weighing in at just over 92lbs. They truck pack, they stack and they sound good! I also used a 2 stage epoxy when I painted them this time around. Ended up with a super tough, nice looking finish. Evan
