Hazer cold storage?

I know the cold storage of gear question comes up about once a year, but I have never heard mention of fog or haze machines. Does haze fluid freeze? Does keeping it cold affect the performance of the fluid? The temperatures would be well below freezing. Thanks.

The fluid seems to freeze at slightly lower temps than water. Pipes can burst. I don't know if the freezing alters the chemical makeup, my hazers always worked fine with fluid that had been frozen, but I don't know if it should be avoided.

First off, what does the manufacturer of your fog/haze machine have to say on this matter?

Water-based fog and haze fluids are typically glycol based, so their freezing points will be below that of water (how much depends on the concentration). You'll need to check with the manufacturer of teh fluid to get a specific freezing point.

Cold fluid may reduce the effectiveness of the fog machine, but I doubt this will be noticed in practice. Frozen fog fluid may damage the machine.
