Height adjustable Stool/Throne

Hi,

I've had enough of sitting on roadcases...

Looking for a nice stool/throne and hoping for the following:

* 6 wheel base (like office chairs)
* Back rest (can be short like some drum thrones)
* Height adjustable so I can either be at standing height whilst sitting or, be down an inconspicous. Ideally gas lift not the drum throne screw type
* above all else, comfortable.

I plan on this being the last stool I ever own so am willing to pay good money for a good one.

Can you offer any recommendations ?

Cross-posted from the other place:

If you have the coin and the truck space, this is the chair to get.

It can be set so that it operates like a regular hydraulic chair, or so either or both the back and the seat follow you and support your back as you lean forward. It has saved my back on more than one gig.

I have a drafting chair from Office Max...had it for years and still going strong. Been thrown around in trucks.

Re: Height adjustable Stool/Throne

I use the Roc n Soc keyboard throne with the back attachment. It is gas lift and the perfect height for mixing. It also breaks down nicely into a pelican 1610.

I too thought the roc n doc throne was gonna be the end of my road case handle dented butt! until I got one, not comfortable at all to me, especially for long stints in the seat. Your mileage may vary, as a matter of fact, interested?

Re: Height adjustable Stool/Throne

This has been my favorite. Heavy as hell and been dragged to there and back. I like this one in particular because I have a habit of sitting in it backwards when I get tired and its lack of arms and small tapered back make it possible. It goes from an average desk chair to around barstool height when fully raised. Best of all I found this at thrift store for $10.00 in Denver.
