I'd go MH over verona for the VCA. As you said you have guest engineers. I don't know what caliber of bands and BEs come thru but that is a workflow plus in that direction

On a side note I don't personally like the 'ergonomics' of the verona, a really 'slick' preamp pot too close to the hi pass for my fingers, funky eq layout - either make it straight or all the same slant, I can see what band I'm going for...
